Solutions
Is the original power adapter being used? Here's how to check:
  1. Locate the label on the power adapter.
  2. The Output Rating should read 12VDC, 2.5A. If the rating is different, replace with the correct adapter
The Voltage Rating should read 12VDC. Amperage rating 0.7A or higher. If rating differs, replace with a compatible adapter.
Is the power adapter and/or cable damaged? Here's how to check:
  1. Disconnect the adapter from the outlet.
  2. Shake the adapter and listen for rattling. If present, do not try to repair. The adapter should be replaced.
  3. Inspect the cable for cuts. If present, do not try to repair. The adapter should be replaced.

  1. While the sign is ON, press and hold the ON/OFF button on the backside of the sign for 7 seconds.
  2. After releasing the ON/OFF button, unplug the power connection and wait 5 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power and the sign should light up immediately. If it does not, simply press the the ON/OFF button.
  4. Wait 15 seconds and reconnect the power.
What are other possible causes and solutions?
  1. For an unknown reason, the power adapter or sign itself has failed. There is no product self-test to verify. If the product is more than a few years old, it should be replaced.
  2. Did the location experience an electrical outage recently? Electrical outages can affect electronics in different ways. Some can be more damaging than others. If the power adapter was not connected to a power surge strip during an electrical incident, damage to either the power adapter or sign itself may be a possibility. There is no product self-test to verify. The product should be replaced.
